An individual "Project" is a single area that you want covered with a screen or screens:
If you have more than one project, be sure to use two different names.
If you do a self installation, you will send us measurements, we will send you back a design sketch to buy-off. Once you have agreed to the design sketch, we will then build your screens to that design specification.
If you hire us to install your screens, we come out and take the measurements and then will solve any fit problems that might occur on installation. Delivery automatically included.
Enter the total height and width. Later, based on the number of screens you choose and what mounting method you desire, we will calculate the height of your screens.
Be sure to decide, are you measuring inside of two features? Like a closet? Or do you want the screens to completely cover an area, like a window?
The fewer screens you use to cover an area, the cheaper your project will be. However, there are limits on how wide a screen we can make.
The most common selection is an upper aluminim track with lower guides.
Selecting both upper and lower puts a full length track on top of the floor, pins from the screen will run in the grooves of that track.
Typically, everyone orders one track per screen.
If your track is for a closet door, it will probably be the same length as your opening.
The wood types are listed from the least expensive (soft-woods) to the most (hardwoods).
Hard woods are more durable.
If you want your screens stained, oak provides the most consistent result.
A polyurethane coat provides protection for the wood from stains and sunshine.
Remember that the final color of your screen is based on the stain you choose AND the wood type
These wooden slats are called kumiko.
The cost of your screens is based on the quantity of kumiko you order, not the pattern you place them in.
Initially, the kumiko are laid out evenly, but you can modify their layout into a pattern you prefer.
If your screen is visible from both sides, like in a room divider or a window, you will probably want it double-sided.
If your screen is only visible from one side, like a closet door, you will probably only want a single sided-screen.
